JEE Main Exam is one of the most prominent and highly competitive entrance examinations in India. The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) to the NTA from 2019 onwards. The Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main), is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B.Tech.) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. Two component for JEE exam JEE Main: This is the first stage of the JEE exam. It is conducted twice a year (usually in January and April). JEE Main is the qualifying exam for admission to NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions. It also serves as the eligibility test for JEE Advanced. The exam is computer-based and consists of multiple-choice questions as well as numerical questions. JEE Advanced: Only candidates who qualify in JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced is the second stage and is conducted by one of the IITs on a rotational basis. It is considered more challenging than JEE Main and is the gateway for admission to the IITs. The exam assesses candidates' understanding of the subjects in-depth and their problem-solving skills. JEE Main consists of 2 papers - Paper-1 for BE/ BTech, Paper-2A for B.Arch and Paper-2B for B.Planning. A candidate can give both JEE Main Paper-1 and Paper-2 depending on the course he/ she is interested in pursuing. For IIT JEE advance, the students must qualify for IIT-JEE mains exams with good scores. So, every student must sit in IIT-JEE advance. He should be qualified for the IIT-JEE (mains) entrance exams. Suppose the student is not interested in taking the IIT-JEE advanced exams. In that case, he can be admitted to NITS colleges according to his marks or scores. However, he is not eligible to be admitted to IIT colleges in India. There are 31 National Institutes of Technology colleges/universities and 23 IIT colleges/universities. There is a big difference in the salary packages of NIT and IIT students. Conclusion JEE preparation is intense and requires a thorough understanding of concepts, problem-solving skills, and time management. Many students attend coaching classes, while others depends on self-study. Practice with previous years' question papers and mock tests is essential. Remember that JEE preparation is a gradual process, and consistency is key. It's important to practice regularly, and stay focused on your goal. Overall, the JEE exam is a significant milestone for engineering aspirants in India.
